Shredding

We use state of the art processing technology to process ELVs and other light metals. The process includes an upstream pre-shredder used to homogenise incoming material allowing the operator to better control the feed rate of the primary shredder. Additionally the crane operator uses the remote control that manages the pre-shredder operation but also protecting the machine from inappropriate materials. The primary shredder uses a highly efficient 3MW DC Motor that runs the hammer mill that packs a serious punch shredding metals to <250mm in size. All shredded materials are then loaded to the downstream mechanical separation process that segregates the different metal streams while extracting the non-metallics in the form of Automobile Shredder Residue. This residue, consisting of plastics, foams, textiles and rubber is sent to 3rd party recyclers for further recovery and recycling.
